(Friday Night): The markets
rose smartly today, though it remains to be seen whether this marks a market
recovery or whether it's a hump in a falling market. The NASDAQ Composite
to 2,715.61. The Dow gained 59.79
to 12,044.40, while the S&P 500 added 9.79
to close at: 1,304.28. Oil ended the day a little lower, at $100.59 a
barrel, while Gold closed at $1,420. The VIX rose 1.8
points to close at 20.08.
