2009-4-23:   The indices rose a little, with the NASDAQ Composite up 6.09 points (0.37%), to end the day at 1,652. The Dow added 70.49 points (0.89%) to close at 7,957, and the S&P 500 slipped 8.37 points (0.99%)  to 852. Oil jrose slightly to $49.30, while gold jumped $14.10 to finish at $906.60. The VIX fell 0.95 to 37.15.
    The indices are in a trading range right now, consolidating their recent advances. However, more than one technical analyst in Minyanville is raising a technical storm warning for the markets, MV Weather ReportL Severe Storm Warning for Markets? and New Bull Market Is, Well, Bull.
    This next article is upbeat: The End of the Crisis: Are We There Yet?, but this article, The Next Great Bubble: China, is, I'm afraid, a wake-up call. I don't have time tonight to do this topic justice, but I'll try to tackle it over the weekend.
