All three indices closed today at their highest levels for the year.
The
NASDAQ Composite surgeded`21.79
points, (0.99%) to end at 2,212.10,
the Dow gained 29.55
points (0.28%)
to
close at 10,501.05,
and the S&P 500 climbed
7.7
points (0.7%)
to 1,114.11. Oil was unchanged at $69.86
a barrel, while gold rose
slightly to $1,124.
The VIX dropped 0.44
to 21.15.
The question before us now is that of whether
this is a breakout or a fake-out. The markets will have to move a few
more points higher before we'll know.
