NASA Scientist: Bush Stifles Global Warming Evidence  The Bush administration is trying to stifle scientific evidence of the dangers of global warming in an effort to keep the public uninformed, a NASA scientist said Tuesday night. "In my more than three decades in government, I have never seen anything approaching the degree to which information flow from scientists to the public has been screened and controlled as it is now," James E. Hansen told a University of Iowa audience.
Chandra's Find Of Lonely Halo Raises Questions About Dark Matter  - SpaceDaily  Left:  "A growing body of evidence indicates that dark matter - which interacts with itself and "normal" matter only through gravity is the dominant form of matter in the universe. According to the popular "cold dark matter" theory, dark matter consists of mysterious particles left over from the dense early universe that were moving slowly when galaxies and galaxy clusters began to form."  Dark matter continues to confound astronomers, as NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory demonstrated with the detection of an extensive envelope of dark matter around an isolated elliptical galaxy NGC 4555 (pictured). discovery conflicts with optical data.

Air Taxis Could Clear London Grid Lock  - SpaceDaily  Left:  London is just one example of where STOL strips could be opened. The transit time door to door is just 2 minutes from any out of town park and fly site. There are many cities around the world that would suit Jetpod air taxis. Moscow is already looking to set-up a fleet of air taxis to cope with chronic traffic congestion (Flight International, 2004). "Real Air Taxis will soon be on their way into major cities," says London based AVCEN. Avcen is to bring its innovative Jetpod aircraft design off the drawing board and into proof-of-concept build and flight trials. The Jetpod is a unique, lightweight, Very Quiet Short Take-Off and Landing (VQSTOL), 6-seat, twin-jet powered aircraft. The Jetpod cruises at 300 knots (350 mph).
